Who we are
CONFIDME provides an AI assisted personal styling service. CONFIDME is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. Questions or requests go to [email protected].
What we collect
- The photo you upload, used to generate your style results.
- Your email address, collected at checkout, used to send your results and order updates.
- Order and payment records (via Stripe) for any package you purchase. We never see or store your full card number.
- Basic usage data (pages visited, approximate location from IP) only if you accept analytics cookies, and ad-performance data shared with Meta and TikTok only if you accept marketing cookies. See "Cookies" below.
How your photo is used
What happens to your photo depends on which package you use:
- Free tier ("First Look"). We measure basic face geometry (proportions and ratios) directly from your photo in the browser and on our server. This geometry is used only to determine your face shape. It is never sent to a third-party AI model or language model.
- Paid tier. Your photo, together with the geometry above, is sent to an AI model provider to generate your full style brief (palette, capsule wardrobe and detailed guidance). The provider processes this data solely to return your result and does not use it to train their models.
Your photo is not sold or shared with third parties beyond the infrastructure needed to run the analysis and, for paid orders. Uploaded photos are retained for up to 14 days after a free read, or 120 days after your most recent paid order so you can revisit your results and reuse the photo for a new analysis, then permanently deleted. You can request earlier deletion at any time.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. We store a transaction record (amount, status, Stripe identifiers) but never your card details, which stay with Stripe under their own security and privacy terms.
Email we send you
There are two kinds, and they are handled separately:
- Order email. When your style edit is ready we email you a link to it. This is part of delivering what you asked for, so it is sent whether or not you opted into anything else.
- Seasonal and promotional email. Sent only if you explicitly tick the optional box at checkout. It is never pre-ticked, it is never bundled with agreeing to these terms, and declining it has no effect on your order or your results.
We record when you opted in and where you did it. Every promotional email carries a one-click unsubscribe link that works without signing in, and unsubscribing stops all promotional email to that address - it does not stop emails about edits you have ordered. You can also email [email protected] to opt out at any time.
Cookies
We use a strictly necessary cookie to remember your cookie preferences and, only if you opt in, analytics cookies (Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity) to understand how the site is used and marketing cookies (the Meta and TikTok pixels) so those platforms can measure our advertising. Analytics and marketing are separate choices. See our full cookie policy for the complete list and durations. You can change your choice at any time from the link in our footer.
Which of those is switched on before you choose depends on where you are. In the EU, the UK, and everywhere else outside the United States, nothing beyond the strictly necessary cookie loads until you accept it. In most US states, analytics and marketing cookies are on by default and you can turn them off at any time. In California, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Florida and Washington we ask first, the same as we do in Europe.
Retention
- Uploaded photos: deleted automatically after 14 days for a free read, or 120 days after your most recent paid order. Your style results are kept and stay readable after the photo is gone.
- Style results and order records: kept for as long as your account or order history is useful to you, or as required by tax and accounting law, then deleted.
- Cookie preference cookie: expires after 180 days, then your consent is asked again.
- Consent records: when you accept, reject or change your cookie choices we keep a record of what you chose, when, which options you were shown, and a one-way hash of your IP address (never the address itself). Kept for 3 years, then deleted. We keep this to be able to show what you were asked and what you answered.
US state privacy rights
If you live in a US state with a comprehensive privacy law, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to have it corrected or deleted, to receive a copy of it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing and of targeted advertising. We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not knowingly process the data of anyone under 16 for targeted advertising.
Use the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link in our footer to opt out on this device, or email [email protected] for any of the other rights. We do not charge you, degrade the service, or offer you a worse price for exercising any of them.
We honour the Global Privacy Control. If your browser or an extension sends a GPC signal, we treat it as an opt-out automatically: analytics and marketing cookies are switched off for that visit before any of them load, and you do not have to click anything.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under GDPR and CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, export, restrict, object to, or delete your personal data, and to withdraw consent for analytics or marketing cookies at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.
Sub-processors
We share limited data with the following processors, only as needed to run the service:
- Stripe, payment processing.
- Google Analytics, site usage analytics (only with your consent).
- Microsoft Clarity, site usage analytics (only with your consent).
- Meta, advertising measurement via the Facebook pixel (only with your consent).
- TikTok, advertising measurement via the TikTok pixel (only with your consent).
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will update this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email.
